Charleston: One of Our Favorite Coastal Cities

When Charleston Food + Wine, the annual gathering of chefs, bartenders, sommeliers,
and food lovers, debuted in 2005, it helped shine a national light on the city’s seriously impressive dining scene (and started drawing hungry food seekers to the region). In the
years since, Charleston has become one of the top destinations in the country for eating and drinking, and it’s a particular favorite of ours. It’s hard to think of a better evening than sidling up to the bar at The Ordinary for freshly shucked oysters and a daiquiri, or a more satisfying
lunch than a giant tray of smoked meats at Lewis Barbecue. You’ll find plenty of standout Southern eats, along with a number of spots that reflect Charleston’s growing diverse population, with great places for Chinese, Vietnamese, and more. Bring your appetite.
