Knoxville, home to the University of Tennessee, has a strong food scene that speaks to the region. Our dining picks feature several restaurants from alums of Blackberry Farm, including Potchke and J.C. Holdway. We’ll also visit some can’t-miss bars, a great bakery, a delicious pizza spot, and more.
Portland, Oregon: Culinary Capital of the Pacific Northwest

Seaside Seafood in Mystic, Connecticut
A beautiful, quintessential coastal New England town, Mystic has turned into a culinary destination in recent years. One this trip, we’ll be seeking seafood — from raw oysters to fried clams, locally caught fish to lobster rolls. Menus here are teeming with treats from the sea.
San Francisco: The Bay Area’s Culinary Gem
San Francisco, one of America’s best food cities, is where you’ll find a diverse mix of Italian, Mexican, and Asian residents leading a dining scene that is robustly international but proudly Californian. It’s also one of America’s best cocktail cities, with more great spots than you can hit on one trip.
The Historic Charm of Savannah, Georgia
The port city of Savannah makes for a beautiful getaway. The historic city is filled with squares and dripping with Spanish moss. Visit the haunting Bonaventure Cemetery and a tour of the Mercer Williams House, then explore the city’s excellent restaurants, dive bars and honky tonks.

Boston’s Food Scene Brings a Fresh Energy
Boston’s food scene has a fresh energy these days, as both established chefs and newcomers to the city are pushing out high quality plates and adding new cuisines to the city’s roster. Many of our picks highlight seafood, but there's also terrific regional Italian, Peruvian, Greek, Mediterranean, Chinese, and Thai fare.
