San Jose Field Guide
San Jose is California’s third largest city (after Los Angeles and San Diego) and is known as the capital of Silicon Valley. Agriculture was once the area’s main economic driver, but today it’s tech companies that dominate the economy. The area’s diverse population leads to a fascinating food scene. There’s Little Saigon, where we’re going to send you for bánh mì and coffee, and Japantown, where we suggest a tour of the neighborhood’s Japanese and Hawaiian favorites. You’ll also find Mexican, Ethiopian, Portuguese, and other cuisines that speak to the area’s many immigrant communities. Of course, this is the Bay Area, so we’re also going to visit a winery and get some great cocktails and baked goods. Let’s go explore.
This 38-page mobile-optimized dining guide includes our favorite places for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks, all organized into a three-day itinerary.
